The City of South Lake Tahoe has implemented an online purchasing system. This system allows vendors to register online, receive automated bid notifications via email, and submit bids electronically. In addition to our formal bids, solicitations for purchases under $25,000 are also processed through our online system. You may click the “Current bid opportunities” link to the left to see a list of all current solicitations, or use the keyword search below to find specific items.

Some bid packages which include engineering or architect’s drawings may not be downloadable. These packages may be ordered by calling the Public Works Department/Engineering Division at (530)542-6030, and may be paid for by using Visa, MasterCard, or can be ordered by mail with payment by check. If a cost is shown for the bid package, payment must accompany your request. Mailing will be by US Postal Service unless the bidder provides a FedEx number.

In order to download bid packages and submit a bid, vendors will need to register and create a vendor profile. Registration will assure that you are notified of all bid opportunities in your selected commodities or trades. Click the “Add yourself to vendor listing” link to the left to create your profile. Registering will also assure that you are notified of any addenda that may be issued.

Bids are due at or before the time shown for each bid. Late bids cannot be accepted. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the bid document has been downloaded or otherwise obtained, including any addenda. Amended bids received without the applicable addenda will be rejected as incomplete.

We encourage vendors to use electronic bidding whenever possible. Some bids may require additional documentation with wet signature, such as bonds and affidavits. If you submit your bid electronically, State law requires that such additional documentation must be received by the City within 24 hours of the opening of the bids.
