Conduct planning for implementation of the recently completed Regional Biotech Diversification Plan which outlines strategies to enhance the support of existing biotech-related businesses in the region and to promote the expansion of local biotech industry opportunities. The planning activity will include refining the Action Steps in the Plan based on the contractor’s experience and knowledge of the biotech field, educational systems and economic development strategies. Planning will also include identifying and working with key regional players in government, industry and education, and to take the lead in organizing and coordinating their efforts to fulfill the goals of the Plan. |

The source of funds for this project is a U.S. Department of Labor, Regional Innovation Grant awared to the Stanislaus County Alliance Worknet on behalf of the Valley Bio and Science Coalition. |
