Bid Opportunities
The City of Fontana has recently implemented an online purchasing
management system. This system allows vendors to register online, receive
automated service and commodity solicitations via email, and to submit bids
electronically. Both formal and informal solicitations will be processed
through our online system. You may click the "Current Bid/Opportunities"
link at the top to see a list of all current solicitations, or use the
keyword search below to find specific items.

Contracting opportunities which include engineering or architectural
drawings are downloadable.
Opportunities for vendors to bid for City business fall into two categories,
formal and informal.
Informal bid opportunities are for purchases of goods or services under
$25,000. Purchases between $2,500 and $25,000 require three informal bids
obtained either by Purchasing or departments requesting the purchase.
Purchases under $2,500 do not require any form of competitive bid.
Formal bid opportunities are published whenever the City seeks to procure
goods or services for projects estimated to be over $25,000.
All responses are due at or before the time shown on each solicitation. Late
responses cannot be accepted. It is the bidder's/proposer's responsibility
to ensure that the most complete and current version of the solicitation,
including addenda, has been downloaded or otherwise obtained. Responses
received without the applicable addenda will be rejected as incomplete.
